Ken Bernardi is a quadruple retiree, having retired from the Louisville Metro Police after 24 years with the Jefferson County Police/LMPD combined. He retired from the Shepherdsville Police twice with a total of over 11 years. He also retired from the US Air Force/KY Air National Guard with a combined total of over 26 years. In all of them he was a firearms instructor. He was a military competitive shooter in both rifle and pistol. Police wise he spent over 13 years as a SWAT member with 12 years as a sniper. He was a Police Instructor from 1995 to 2016. He has been married for 41 years and has 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
