As a young boy I used to take apart the screen door, the toilet paper holder and even painted the tree trunk orange, as far up as I could reach. My grandfather, Fred, had a big role in continuing to promote my love of taking things apart but also provided tutelage in putting them back together. As an adolescent, I watched and learned what it meant to take pride in fixing things around the house and completing projects that stood the test of time.
At Fred's Custom Home Repair, a locally owned and operated home repair business in Louisville, Kentucky, me and my team continue to take pride in the old school values, craftsmanship, pride in one's work and cleanliness, that my grandfather took time to teach.
